ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Rochester Police have identified the victim of a fatal hit and run on Clifford Avenue.
It happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Police say 62-year-old Nilsa Rivera of Rochester was found lying on the shoulder of the road. She was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Rivera was walking along the south edge of the roadway when a vehicle traveling eastbound struck her. The vehicle failed to stop after the incident.
The Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
