UPDATE: Stolen Park Ave pig 'Wilbur' recovered by owners

Stolen pig statue returned to Park Ave business Norchar

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Norchar announced on its Facebook page Saturday evening Wilbur is home! Rochester Police notified the business the stolen pig statue was recovered.

"Details are scarce, but we are pretty sure Wilber was found last night in a trash bag in a bush on Park Avenue. The wonderful person who found him called the police and Wilbur was picked up," the post read.

Norchar said in the post they aren't sure what became of the trio caught on camera stealing the pig, but when they unwrapped Wilbur, a note fell out that read:

"We're so sorry! We were very intoxicated! Sorry for the trouble."

The important part, the business said, is that Wilbur is back where he belongs.

Norchar did not intend to press any charges. However, the theft was caught on surveillance camera.
