Body matching missing teen's description pulled from Genesee River

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - UPDATE:

Rochester Police have confirmed that a body matching Trevyan's description has been pulled from the Genesee River. The body was found around 5:30 p.m. near the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony bridge. 

According to police, there appears to be no foul play. Officers used sonar equipment to locate the body.

A vigil is planned for Monday, March 12, 2018. Details are forthcoming.

The Rochester City School District will be offering counseling to students and staff. The district is also conducting an independent investigation into what happened at School #12 and whether a call went out to family members.

Rochester Police have removed what appeared to be remains from the Genesee River between the Ford Street Bridge and the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Bridge. 

A medical examiner is on scene. 

Police had been searching the area for a missing teen. 14-year-old Trevyan Rowe was last seen getting off the bus at School #12 on Thursday morning.

Rowe is 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown hoodie, tan pants, and red shoes.

This recovery is taking place less than a mile away from School #12.
