ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Despite still not showing up for work, Judge Leticia Astacio is getting a pay raise.
The pay raise, which will bump up her $175,500 salary, went into effect on Sunday – April 1. It is part of an agreed upon raise for city court judges across New York.
Judge Doran, who oversees Astacio, tells News 8 he’s done everything within his power to handle the situation. The state Judicial Commission is the only one that can remove Astacio from office.
Astacio is serving a ten-year term. She has faced scrutiny over the past couple years after she was arrested for DWI. Earlier this year, she stopped showing up for work after being ordered back by Judge Doran.
The high pressure in place will keep a clear sky around tonight…
