Seniors at Cobbs Hill Manor throw Halloween party for kids

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Halloween is just days away and on Saturday, residents of Cobb's Hill Manor Assisted Living and Pi Kappa Phi put together a spooky event for some local kids.

The event was all about celebrating what it means to be a child.

There were apples, tattoos, crafts and tons of surprises.

"This is assisted living, life has changed, you're living here," said Wellness Manager Mary McDowell. "A lot of our residents have been involved in their community, they've given back, they've done things and volunteered. Now they're doing this, giving back to their community. They're doing something cool and productive and it's part of being a great big family."

The event came together while residents were stuffing bags for Seneca Park Zoo Boo.

Though it was short notice, more than 50 people came out to the event.
