RRH closes Psychiatric Emergency Center at St. Mary's

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Rochester Regional Health's Psychiatric Center at Unity St. Mary’s Campus on Genesee Street closed last week.

The Psychiatric Emergency Center closed on Oct. 18. 

RRH issued the following statement to News 8:

RRH St Mary’s hospital continues to provide acute inpatient psychiatric care on its 20 bed inpatient unit. The unit receives patients on a direct admission status from emergency rooms within RRH and from other community hospitals.

The health system said it is renovating the site for an outpatient crisis center that is expected to open early next year.
