Former Rochester psychiatrist sentenced for parole violation

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - The former Rochester psychiatrist convicted of burying a body in his yard is back behind bars.

News 8 has learned Dr. William Lewek has been sentenced to time served plus three months for the undisclosed parole violation.

Lewek was released from prison in December after pleading guilty in 2015 to burying the body of Matthew Straton in his backyard. Lewek said he did it after Straton died from an overdose at the doctor's home.

Lewek will be transferred to a state corrections facility in the next few weeks, News 8 is told.
