Nine people displaced after fire on Oscar Street in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Three adults and six children are being helped by the Red Cross after a fire on Oscar Street in Rochester on Tuesday. 

Firefighters say the received the call around 6:20 Tuesday evening. 

When crews arrived, they say they found heavy smoke coming from the back of the building and the fire had extended to the second floor. 

Firefighters say they were able to contain the fire to that area. 

According to fire crews, no injuries were reported. They say the fire started in the back kitchen area, but that the exact cause is still under investigation.
