Night one of Rochester Fashion Week kicks off with "Lead the Way" show

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Rochester Fashion Week kicked off on Tuesday with the help of some local celebrities, all to raise money for a good cause.

The "Lead the Way" show paired area youth with business and community leaders in a show intended to engage and inspire.

Fashion Week of Rochester also provides funding to the programs and services of the Center for Youth, while shining the light on emerging and well-known designers in the area.

"We love fashion, and we love our city and we love having glamour and drama. But what we really love, is our kids," said Elaine Spaull, executive director of the Center for Youth. "We will keep shelters open and we will add another crisis nursery which is so needed and so much used in our community so we will od that and we'll also have some fun."

News 8's own Mark Gruba was there to represent News 8.

This is the eight year for Rochester Fashion Week.
