Man found not guilty of 2001 murder

Angel Carrasquillo had confessed to the crime in a News 8 report

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - The man who confessed to a 2001 murder in Rochester was found not guilty of the crime Monday.

Angel Carrasquillo confessed in a News 8 report to shooting and killing Miguel Cruz in 2001.

Jose Torres was initially convicted of the crime and found guilty a second time earlier this year despite the Carrasquillo's confession.     

Carrasquillo was charged as an accomplice, but Monday a jury found him not guilty of murder.
