'Lunch with the Law' celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - October is Hispanic Heritage Month, and Rochester police officers held a special event in appreciation of Hispanic culture on Wednesday.

'Lunch with the Law' was open to the public with food available from El Latino Restaurant.

Officers say events like this serve as a way to decompress from their every day jobs.

"When we deal with this kind of job where it's high stress, it just means that it's great to let our hair down," Investigator Jacqueline Shuman said. "It's great for us to be able to come together. We mingle with the fire department, we mingle with all -- that's why we wanted the public to come out and be with us just to meet and greet with them as well."

The event is very popular with members of the Rochester Police Department.
