Lowe's employees help rebuild community

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Nearly 60 employees from local Lowe's stores teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester to help rebuild communities.

The Lowe's employees put down new mulch and plants, painted, and cleaned up the area surrounding the Boys and Girls Club on Genesee Street.

All the work was done in hopes of getting the Community Center up to shape for when members return in late September.

"Development with children in the area provides a great service," Frank Mottram, store manager at the Lowe's in Macedon, said. "It gives them a place to go and to learn and to grow in their communities. It was great that it was part of our company initiative."

The project was part of the Lowe's Heroes Program, which began 10 years ago.
