Jury selection to begin Tuesday in Craig Rideout murder case

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - The trial of the four people charged in the murder of a Penfield man is set to begin Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.

Laura Rideout, her two sons Colin and Alex Rideout, and her boyfriend Paul Tucci are all charged with the murder of Craig Rideout.

The defendants appeared in court Monday morning for a pre-trial conference. The judge denied the defense's request for a change of venue.

Last week, Judge Thomas Moran ruled that the four suspects would be tried together.

Craig Rideout disappeared from his Penfield home in July of last year. He was found dead in Yates County a few days later. Investigators say he was strangled and acid was poured on his face.

The four suspects were indicted in December.
