Greece police prepare for Chick-fil-A traffic
GREECE, NY (WROC) - A lot of people are excited about the new Chick-fil-A set to open Thursday in Greece.
Starting at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, dedicated customers can line-up to be part of the first 100 hundred customers at the first Chick-fil-A in the Rochester area.
If you are part of the first 100, and have a driver's license with a local zip code, you will get a gift card for a year's worth of Chick-fil-A. That amounts to 52 free meals. (If more than 100 people are in line at 6 a.m., a raffle will be held to determine the 100 winners.)
The store, located on West Ridge Road across from Greece Ridge Mall, opens Thursday at 6 a.m.
Ahead of the grand opening, Greece police are preparing for traffic. The department expects a lot of people to swing by the new restaurant.
Parking spaces are available across the street in the northeast parking lot at the mall. Police and Chick-fil-A employees will be on-hand to direct customers.
Police have also added temporary parking restrictions on nearby streets to help with traffic flow.
Chick-fil-A (2140 West Ridge Rd) in Greece is opening 4/12/2018 at 6am. We expect a large number of patrons to show up which will cause heavy vehicle traffic in the area. We have implemented a traffic control plan to assist with the volume of traffic on West Ridge Rd. pic.twitter.com/Jgq6Lw6vtf
