Greece Police: 'Suspicious package' at Maiden Lane precinct determined harmless

GREECE, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - UPDATE:

Greece Police say the suspicious package that was brought to their precinct on Maiden Lane was determined to be harmless, and likely discarded property. 

The Greece Police Chief tweeted that the package was a toolbox full of tools and wires and was left on the roadside and brought to the police department.

Police say a man brought the package to police after he found it. The original location of the package is still unknown. 

Longridge Elementary School's lock-out was lifted when the package was determined to be harmless.

Greece Police say they are investigating a suspicious package at Precinct #2 on Maiden Lane.

Longridge Elementary School in Greece is in lock out as an extra precaution, according to Greece Police. Barnard Park and the precinct are currently closed due to the investigation.
