Eddie Money's musical opens in Rochester Wednesday night

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Wednesday is opening night for rock star Eddie Money's new musical.

"Two Tickets to Paradise" follows Money's life story from his time dreaming of a job in law enforcement to his days packing arenas with thousands of screaming fans.

In an interview with News 8 earlier this month, Money told us he was introduced to the Kodak Center Main Stage and RAPA during a recent trip to Rochester. That's when he decided to put on his musical in the city.

Several members of the production are Eastman grads including the musical director.

“What I'm letting them do is run with it because they're very professional people and they're closer to Broadway than I'll ever get,” Money told News 8 during a recent interview.

The world premiere starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and the show runs every night through Sunday.
