Digging Out as the Snow Winds Down

A look at some snowfall reports

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - The storm that brought record warmth, ice and sleet to the area last night, also dumped around a foot of snow across the majority of the Rochester and Finger Lakes region.

The snow winds down this morning as the storm continues to pull away into New England. Snowfall reports range anywhere from just under a foot to a little over a foot. Click here for a complete list of snowfall reports from the National Weather Service.

The other big part of the weather story is the drastic drop in temperature. Rochester set a new record high on Friday when 60° was recorded at the airport. It's a completely different story today with temperatures ranging anywhere from 40-50° colder than yesterday! That puts us in the lower half of the teens with wind chills near zero.

Some light lake effect snow will pick up later today, mainly east of Rochester with another few inches of accumulation into Wayne and northern Monroe Counties.
