CURE Childhood Cancer holiday party

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Local children who have been touched by cancer were invited to get into the holiday spirit on Wednesday night.

Families from the CURE Childhood Cancer Association gathered at School of the Arts for a fun filled evening complete with pizza, music, a magic show, and of course, a visit from Santa.

The party was sponsored by Bente Local Union 2419 and Council 66.

They say this was all an effort to give these kids the best night of their lives.

"The kids are so happy to be here," said Dan DiClemente, president of Bente Local. "It's just something to see these kids and how they react and have a great time even under the worst of circumstances and we learn a lot from them."

CURE Childhood Cancer Association provides emotional and financial support to area families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer.
