WEBSTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - UPDATE: The CDS Wolf Foundation says they raised a record amount of $40,000 at their 10th annual Strikes for Abilities Bowling Party earlier this month.
There were over 300 people attending the event.
ORIGINAL: The CDS Wolf Foundation has hosted its 10th annual Strikes for Abilities Bowling Party on Sunday.
The community-wide bowling party helped to raise funds needed for year-round recreation, health, wellness and socialization activities, as well as emergency assistance at CDS Monarch.
Many of CDS Monarch’s recreational services, for example, the CDS Monarch Special Olympics team, are made possible by this event.
CDS Monarch has the largest Special Olympics team in the county, for which the Strikes for Abilities Bowling Party is a core fundraiser.
The money will be going toward new equipment, jerseys and other necessities for the team as well as helping to grow the services and activities that CDS Monarch offers outside of Special Olympics.
