Case of viral meningitis confirmed at Batavia High School

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - A case of viral meningitis involving a student at Batavia High School has been confirmed.

The school district says parents were notified Friday morning.

Parents are asked to monitor their children for symptoms like fever, stiff neck, and tiredness.

Viral meningitis is spread by person-to-person contact. It is not fatal.
