Albion woman charged for smothering pets

ALBION, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - The Albion Police Department has reported that on December 30, the officers conducted an investigation involving an allocation that an individual killed her pet Cat and Pet Dog by suffocating them.

Police say the investigation reveled that on October 31, Suzanne Fredenburg of Albion, placed a
plastic bag over her dogs head until it died and that she also placed a plastic bag over her cats head until it died.

Fredenburg said that she killed the animals because of an infestation of Bird Mites.

A search warrant was subsequently executed at her home where both animals were found deceased buried in the back yard of the residence.

The Humane Law Enforcement Department at Lollypop Farm is assisting in the Investigation and will be conducting a Necropsy on the animals.

Orleans County Animal Control also assisting in the Investigation.

Fredenburg was issued appearance tickets and is to return to the Town of Gaines Court.

She was charged with two counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.
