2 charged in connection with May murders

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Two people were arraigned in connection to the May deaths of two men after an indictment was unsealed Thursday.

Syjesman Brown, 32, and Imani Williams, 28, were both charged with two counts of murder in the second degree in relation to the deaths of 24-year-old Alexander Powell and 34-year-old David Jones. 

On May 14, Rochester police officers responded to the report of a deceased man in a vacant lot on Miller Street. The man was later identified as Powell.

On May 27, officers were called for a burned body on a footbridge in Genesee Valley Park. The body was later identified as Jones.

Brown and Williams are currently in custody.

They are scheduled to appear in Monroe County Court on Dec. 20.
