10 people from Rochester injured in thruway crash

NORTH EAST, P.A. (WROC-TV) - 10 people from Rochester were injured after a team van crashed on I-90 on Friday morning.

Troopers say the van from a church in Greece was carrying a team headed to a Tae Kwon Do tournament in Michigan when it left the roadway and crashed near the North East, Pennsylvania exit.

According to state police, nine passengers and the driver, Gregory Gartland, 52, of Rochester, were all taken to the hospital for treatment.

Troopers at the scene said black ice could have been a factor in the crash.
