KiteFlite is a free autism-friendly fundraising festival. Registration and check in begin at 10:00 a.m. The opening ceremony and kite parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. The festival and expo will continue until 2:00 p.m. The event will feature kite flying, inflatables, carnival games and prizes, along with kite crafts, face painting and a dunk tank featuring News 8's Scott Hetsko.
Participants are encouraged to establish fundraising teams and are challenged to raise pledges to sponsor their "march" teams.
AutismUp was founded in 2004 and today has over 1,400 members. Currently, one in 68 children are diagnosed with autism. The mission of AutismUp is to support individuals, and their families, by expanding and enhancing opportunities to improve quality of life.
