The CDC says a second case of MERS was found in Florida. The first US case was reported earlier this month in Indiana.  That person is an american health care provider who was working in Saudi Arabia.  Today, we talked with specialists from UR medicine and they say as of right now, it's a "localized outbreak.

John Treanor, professor of medicine, said, "what is means is at the moment,  there does not appear to be a risk that there would be widespread disease outside the Arabian Pennisula. So, unlike a pandemic of influenza, the cases all appear to be closely linked to eachother. That could change, but that's why we need to keep a close on this."

Scientists do not know exactly how MERS spreads, but they don't believe it's from casual contact.
