The American Cancer Society marked the 32nd anniversary of the annual Great American Smokeout with a message for smokers: Quit for a lifetime starting today.
The is a nationally recognized platform aimed at educating the public on the dangers associated with tobacco use.

Here are 10 tips to help smokers quit:
- Don't keep it a secret.
- You're not alone.
- Consider using medication to help you quit.
- Dump the memories.
- Avoid places where smokers gather.
- Stay calm and stay busy.
- Talk to your doctor.
- When the urge to smoke strikes, do something else.
- One will hurt.
- Water water everywhere.
