Today was a sad day for family and friends of race car driver, Kevin Ward Junior. His funeral was today.
The 20-year-old was killed Saturday at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park. He was spun out by NASCAR star, Tony Stewart. Ward was then run over by Stewart when he got out of his car to confront him.
Ward's funeral took place at his former high school in Turin, New York. A lot of orange and white balloons were there in remembrance. Kevin's sister, Kayla, explained why she was wearing an orange and white ribbon.
"We just want everybody to know that orange and white are bright colors... and even against black clothing, it does shine through," mourned Kayla Herring.
Ontario County Sheriff, Phil Povero, has said there is no evidence to charge Stewart right now, but the investigation could last another week and a half.
