Frontier Field Celebrates Survivors Night

- Rochester, NY(WROC)-  Local cancer survivors took to frontier field last night.  This was the second annual survivors night at the ballpark.  It was presented by the UR Medicine's Wilmot Cancer Institute.
The event honors cancer survivors, their families, support groups and caregivers.  Survivors night also shines light on the Judy Dimarzo cancer survivorship program.  The program helps cancer survivors navigate life after treatment and address any challenges that may arise.  "It's really exciting how far this program has come in such a short period of time.  Over 250 patients have been seen so far, and the program is really excited to see many, many more," said Paul Hanrahan, a Judy's fund board member.

A portion of last night's ticket sales for the Red Wings game went towards the survivorship program.
