More than nine fire companies responded to a massive barn fire in Avon this afternoon.
It happened on Barber Road, inside a storage barn. Investigators say the don't have an official cause just yet but they believe that the hay inside the barn combusted, thus starting the fire.
"It could possibly be from spontaneous combustion," explained Livingston County Deputy Fire Coordinator, Jerry Gehrig. "There's been some hay and straw in the barn; [it's] been in there for a while."
Some cattle had to be moved outside the barn, but luckily no one was hurt. Investigators say this is the second time this year that this barn has caught fire.
