Dave Dailey, president of Birchcrest Tree and Landscape, Inc. said it's possible to save ash trees on your property. If they haven't been infected yet, be thankful. Dailey said there are treatments that can protect ash trees for two years. They cost $100-200, much less than the cost of removing a dead tree.
Dailey said there are "do-it-yourself" products to treat ash trees, but they have only an 80 percent effectiveness rate. He strongly recommends calling a certified arborist.
