Bicycle boulevards are not bike lanes or bike paths. They're streets that are optimized for bicycles. Some streets are difficult for bicyclists to navigate. Bicycle boulevards run parallel to heavily-traveled routes on streets that do not have heavy car traffic. Bicycle boulevards usually contain signs, pavement markings and features to slow down cars. Sometimes they have protected paths for bicycles.
The meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Central Library's Kate Gleason Auditorium. People can also send in comments to the city by February 21 by emailing Transportation Specialist Erik Frisch at email@example.com.
